Favor to Ask

I know. I know. We’re all busy people and here I am, asking you to do something for me. Never fear! It’s an easy request. And it might not even apply to you. This favor is being asked of anyone who has read one of my books. The rest of you can talk amongst yourselves. Or sing a jaunty tune.

For those who have read one of my books, I have a request: pretty please, with sugar on top, go review it on Amazon.

Yep, you read that right. Just give me a review. It really helps me out. Reviews make Amazon sit up and take notice of books, which is a huge deal because there are so many of them. If Goodreads is your jam, review it there. I never did work out whether Amazon reviews load to Goodreads or vice versa (Amazon owns Goodreads, in case you didn’t know), but I’m looking for any reviews and unashamedly begging for them.

So, that’s it. I’m looking for honest reviews from people who have read my books. Some stars (1-5, naturally) and some words (yours, preferably). Not too time-consuming, I hope.

And while I have your attention, please do review the books you buy, especially the ones you really like. (I do!) Reviewing books not only helps out authors, but also your fellow readers who may be trying to decide whether to buy certain books. As a reader, I definitely look at reviews.
