“For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel’s sake. The great affair is to move.” (Robert Louis Stevenson)
After so many years of little to no day job travel and almost zero personal travel, 2023 is turning out to be the Year of Wanderlust. I’m not nearly back up to previous travel levels, where I flew around the world monthly, but I kicked off last year with multiple trips to Boston and one doozy of a trip to Romania. This year, though, I’ve already been to England, with other trips planned to California, Switzerland, Massachusetts, Scotland, and maybe even Dubai.
There’s a reason why my bio says that I travel “the globe, finding inspiration in the colorful, mysterious, and sometimes spooky corners of it.” I’m certainly no extrovert, but travel speaks to me. It sparks my sense of wonder, my imagination, my curiosity…and it also reminds me why home is important.
I can’t wait to take all these travel experiences and pour them into my next book!
