What’s New Around Here?

WHAT I’M UP TO: Happy New Year! I’m using January to get organized and finalize my plans for the year. Twelve months always sounds like a lot of time, but time…you know…flies. And 2026 will be especially busy for my family.

WHAT I’M WRITING: I’m finishing up the second book in my Theran Series, The Light of House Elandria. This is sci-fi romance! The first book, The Flower of House Yorux, is available for free in Kindle Unlimited. It may seem premature, but I’ve already sketched out a series of novellas covering some side characters in the Theran series and introducing a few new ones.

WHAT I’M READING: I’m reading a bunch by Tana Stone, S.E. Wendell, and Zoey Draven.

WHAT I’M WATCHING: I’m rewatching The Closer. Listen, I know cop shows are, let’s just say, problematic, but I love how Deputy Chief Brenda Johnson keeps her femininity (and even highlights it), whereas most cop shows with female leads are shown as mirrors of their male counterparts, making them feel like caricatures or simply male characters that were swapped out for a token woman.

WHAT I’M LISTENING TO: I’m in the mood for 90s music lately. Nostalgia, I guess?
